Associate Elder and Liaison to Bishop’sOffice Abundant Life Cathedral COGIC – Raleigh,NC 05/2016 to Current Answered telephone calls to field inquiries from clients, vendors and various other callers seeking information for bishop ‘s speaking engagements Led groups of 50 or more volunteers on community service missions through inner city areas to preach, educate on Bible teachings and promote Evangelism. Gave numerous talks in community venues about establishing a relationship with Jesus Christ to promote faith, compassion and encourage volunteerism. Led programs such as worship, study, fellowship and service opportunities. Worked with stewardship to promote responsible biblical stewardship. Supervised associate pastors and staff leading education, youth, pastoral care, and older adult ministry programs. Officiated special services such as weddings, funerals, baptisms and nursing homeservices. Coordinated and spearheaded programs to increase church members’ service throughout community. Organized and spearheaded community outreach programs, including shadowing and mentor programs focused on helping middle school students plan for college or vocational education opportunities and participate in local civic processes.

Pastor Gary Sprewell, a son of the church was raised at the House of Prayer COGIC in Los Angeles, California under the leadership of the late Dr. A.M. Poe Sr. Sprewell preached his first message at age six and was said to be among the youngest to be ordained in the Church of God in Christ.An extremely gifted minister with a passion for souls, his practical approach and precise prophetic ear causes him to be a regular guest for some of the largest and most well known ministries in the world. Crossing denominational lines, His global ministry has been received in 15 countries and on 4 continents.
Pastor Sprewell is the proud recipient of several prestigious awards, citations and accommodations from both political and religious sectors. One of his greatest honors was receiving the Presiding Bishop’s Soul Winners Award and being named the number one National Evangelist in the entire COGIC denomination for six consecutive years (2015 – 2020).
Not just a Preacher but also an Entrepreneur, Pastor Sprewell is the President and CEO of GOD SENT MUSIC GROUP, Cartoonrentals.com and GSM Publishing LLC. In 2008 he was asked to move to Grand Rapids, Michigan to work with Multi-Award winning Artist Marvin Sapp, “Mr. Never Would’ve Made It” Sprewell wrote his first book “The Upgrade” in 2016 and is completing his second book “Limitless” which promises to be a best seller as well. Sprewell’s innovative and creative mind has set him apart as a quintessential leader of his generation. He has served tirelessly on all levels of the Church of God In Christ. Nationally he serves as a founding board member of COGIC Music LLC (COGIC’s record label), Creator and director of Gifted as well as the founder and director of Project Emerge (an online mentorship program which now hosts programing on the word network). In 2022, Sprewell was appointed as President of the International Department of Evangelism making him not only the youngest to ever serve but also the first full time evangelist to hold this position. Elder Sprewell has been blessed to share his ministry on both national radio and television programs (Word Network, BET, and DayStar to name a few). Also an anointed psalmist, he recently released his debut album entitled “Gary Sprewell Church’n With Friends featuring Karen Clark –Sheard, Marvin Sapp, Kierra Sheard, Chrystal Rucker and many others. Dorinda Clark Cole is known as the “Rose of Gospel” armed with a superlative legacy and anointed musical gift. She is a world renowned gospel singer celebrated for her distinctive mid-range, high end pointed vocal character which she credits to her late mother the highly celebrated, legendary, Dr. Mattie Moss Clark.
As one of the members of the highest-selling female gospel group in history, The Clark Sisters, she has amassed three Grammy Awards, two Dove Awards and has been awarded the lifetime achievement award from the Grammy Recording Academy. In 2020, the Lifetime Biopic about The Clark Sisters was released entitled “The First Ladies of Gospel”, garnering over 20 million viewers. Additionally, she has performed with the group nationally on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, ABC’s The View, Bobby Jones Gospel, Lift Every Voice, Gospel Superfest, TBN’s Praise the Lord, The Stellar Awards, The Queen Latifah Show, The Lady of Soul and The Kennedy Center Honors. As a Solo- Artist, Dr. Cole has amassed six Stellar Gospel Music Awards, and A Lady of Soul award.
Dr. Cole has mastered the balance between music and evangelism, as she is internationally celebrated for her exceptional delivery of the gospel. She is recorded in history as the first African American woman to preach to a congregation of over 5,000 individuals in South Africa. Currently she serves as the International Elect Lady of the International Department of Evangelism (IDOE) to the Church of God in Christ. Additionally, she serves as the church administrator for Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle, J. Drew Sheard and Evangelist Dr. Karen Clark-Sheard.
Dr. Cole’s dedication to Evangelism and music has not limited her success in other arenas. God has favored her to be successful across broad platforms such as:
- In September 2004, she received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Mt. Carmel Theological Seminary in Fresno, CA.
- In the Spring of 2009, Dr. Cole received the honor of performing “Nothing but the Truth” for the Bust Sojourner Truth unveiling on Capitol Hill for First Lady Michelle Obama and other officials.
- Founder/CEO of Cole Enterprises, Harvestime Ministries, and Lifeline Productions and Singers, Musicians and Arts Conference (SMAC).
- A gospel radio host (the nationally syndicated Dorinda Clark Cole Radio Show),
- A television host on TCT Networks (The Dorinda Show) and the Word Network (Gospel According to Dorinda),
